Four piece coin silver tea set, circa 1830. Each piece is marked on the bottom “ B. Gardiner” and “New York” for Baldwin Gardiner who worked in Philadelphia from 1814 to 1826 and New York from 1827 to 1838. The teapot is 10-1/4 inches high and 11-1/8 inches from the edge of the handle to the far tip of the spout. The waste bowl is 6 inches high and 6-3/4 inches wide. The top of the creamer handle is 8 inches from the bottom of the piece and the spout to the edge of the handle is 6-7/8 inches. The top of the filial on the sugar bowl to the bottom is 9-3/4 inches and the distance from the edges of the two handles is 7-1/2 inches. The condition is very good with minor dents appropriate to age. There is no monogram. The four pieces total 110 ounces iin weight.
