Classical mahogany card table attributed to John Meads, Sr. of Albany, New York, circa 1815. The card table is possessed of extra-ordinary carving of fruit and cornucopia that provide the table supports. The dog feet also are wonderfully carved. No replacements or repairs that I have detected. Brass rollers appear to be original.
Hancock, Maryland desk with label of W. W. Jenkins and history handwritten in interior drawers. Mahogany veneered on white pine; two of the small interior drawers with extensive grain; these drawer bottoms may be yellow pine. Interior drawers have tiger maple veneer. Brasses appear to be period to the piece.
